Ever watch NBC's Stingray series? Like a cross between Miami Vice and The Equalizer, easily as good as both and starred Nick Mancuso, Nick's later series was called "Matrix" which was based around the story of the "Sea Of Fire" episode of Equalizer. Both are highly recommended viewing.
Only seen the different title sequences (e.g. the 'PILOT' sequence with a slower tempo, the faster tempo version for the 1st Season, and the 2nd Season variation) and an original NBC promo on YouTube; looks absolutely class, and I adore the Main Theme.
"The Equalizer" would take a lot for a show to be as good, but then again, "Airwolf" is better than "The Equalizer". In the end though, both those shows are completely different.
Interesting trivia surrounding the 4th Season episode 'SEA OF FIRE'. I remember the episode being quite a good one too, and Woodward was on top form in it, but then again, he always was on top form in every episode. A true pro.
I may well buy the DVD set, seeing as it only ran for something like 26 episodes. By the way bud, if you're RoleyPoley1 on YouTube, I'm HitcherThunder, and I've just downloaded the extended version of the theme song from your FileFront site, and it's so good.

Stingray was only cancelled after 25 episodes as Nick Mancuso couldnt handle doing a weekly show, when the first season ended he convinced Steven J Cannell to move production to Canada where he lived at the time. It had some great original music used and composed for the show, Awesome storylines, great action sequences (The end of the pilot episode features one of the best Kung-Fu sequences I have ever seen) and superb acting. I cannot recommend it enough. The Dvd is out on April fools day, order from Amazon Canada as its significantly cheaper too.
Yep thats me It is a great variation of the theme alright, Il try and upload some more music tonight for you
I hate that when actors decide they can't do a weekly series. If they can't do it, why bother auditioning or accepting the role in the first place? They should know or find out what it's like to do a weekly show, in terms of the gruelling production schedules and long hours.
So, I take it then the ratings for the show were good? It was just down to Mancuso for cancelling it basically.
Just watched your clip on YouTube of the scene where he breaks out of jail. Noticed a great blooper where the police officer is thrown off the wall, when he's electrocuted. When he hits the wall, he actually pushes it out of it's place. Obviously, this was a scene shot on a constructed set on a soundstage.
Great use of "Silent Running"; now why on earth did the music team for "Airwolf" produce a cover of that song for Season 3's 'LITTLE WOLF', when the real version was used for "Stingray"?

I remember reading in an interview online that Nick said after the pilot aired, a lot of high profile magazines were saying "Why cant all TV be like this?" or something like that. Im trying to find the interview as I want to add it onto the site. Yep, Basically Mancuso ended the show.
Yeah haha, Shoddy soundstage The police officer in that clip played one of the badguys in the Street Hawk episode "A Second Self".
I was wondering that too about the Airwolf episode, unlike the "Money For Nothing" cover from Birds of Paradise this was quite a bad rendition of the original song.
